What is Scroll Network?
Scroll Network is a Layer 2 (L2) scaling solution for Ethereum that employs Zero-Knowledge (ZK) technology to create a zkEVM network. It enables faster and more efficient transactions while maintaining the security of the Ethereum blockchain. By utilizing zero-knowledge proofs, Scroll presents a promising solution to the scalability and privacy challenges faced by the Ethereum network. As Scroll does not yet have a native cryptocurrency, it is possible that they will offer a potential AirDrop for interactions with certain decentralized applications (dApps) on test networks.
Within the zkEVM space, Scroll is not alone; there are several other networks, such as StarkNet and zkSync. With the launch of Scroll Alpha Testnet, Scroll has taken another step toward enhancing the Layer 2 ecosystem with its technology. Given the competitive landscape, some key value propositions that Scroll brings are:
1. Hierarchical Zero-Knowledge Proof System
By employing this proof schema, Scroll can achieve efficient validation through short and concise proofs. Additionally, it becomes more compatible for deploying decentralized applications (dApps) on L2s.
2. Effective Communication Channels
Scroll is focused on creating a robust L2 ecosystem driven by open innovation. Therefore, the Scroll team has made efforts to establish communication channels between dApps on Scroll and those on other L2s. This also provides a good opportunity for strategic partnerships among applications, potentially generating synergies that could create positive externalities for users.
Scroll (SCR) stands out as a platform that operates in harmony with Ethereum by leveraging zkEVM Rollup technology. Through Binance Launchpool, users will have the opportunity to earn tokens by staking BNB and FDUSD. The Launchpool process commenced on October 9 and will continue until October 10, 2024.
