The initial design purpose of $SC sia is to decentralize cloud storage. On this platform, you can store and retrieve a variety of files without worrying about the privacy and security of your files. By utilizing encryption technology, encrypted contracts, and redundant backups, sia is able to unite a group of mutually distrustful and unfamiliar computer nodes into a cloud storage platform with a unified operating logic and program. Because these mutually distrustful computer nodes are distributed around the world, sia can become an effective distribution network for files and their contents without incurring additional costs. File uploaders can freely choose which nodes they use, meaning they can avoid nodes in certain areas or only use those they consider trustworthy. Decentralization refers to splitting an uploaded file into many small pieces and storing each piece on different computer nodes. Among these nodes that store files, only a small portion of nodes need to be trustworthy to make the uploaded file both secure and reliable.
