This means that each coin has an identifier password. Coins stored in the wallet are considered unspent, this coin is transferred to the spent state when it is sent to another wallet. In this way, the Blockchain prevents the same coin from being sent to multiple addresses.

DigiByte was initially working with the proof of work system. But after a while, the hard fork was implemented and 5 different proof of work algorithms began to be used in mining. Thus, it was aimed to protect the decentralized structure. DigiByte developers change the difficulty levels of 5 different algorithms and establish a system that balances the share they have, preventing any algorithm from dominating the network. In addition, DGB was one of the first cryptocurrencies to use SegWit technology. Thanks to SegWit, blocks are created faster and possible scaling problems are avoided.
