Nym will introduce the Nym VPN app on December 28th
Nym will present mixnet and the new NymVPN app on “Lightning Talk” on December 28 at 15:45 UTC.
The NYM token serves as a utility token on the Nym mixnet, used to provide privacy and as an indicator of reputation and reward for governing nodes. NYM token users gain access to the mixnet by transferring their data through it for increased privacy.
Mixnet nodes are rewarded with NYM tokens for mixing traffic and ensuring the anonymity of users of the Nym network. NYM collected in this way goes into the reward pool, which is distributed among mixnet nodes in accordance with their reputation and performance.
The NYM token is not a universal means of payment or a cryptocurrency similar to Bitcoin and is intended solely for use on the Nym network.
