remembering that if you buy here on binance spot, using FDUSD the fee is 0

One thing I still haven't figured out... $USUAL is only available on the Ethereum mainnet.
When we make a spot purchase transaction here on Binance, the transaction fees are tiny in BNB or USDT... very small.
Isn't a SPOT purchase a complete transaction on the blockchain? Just like any transfer from one wallet to another?
I ask this because I transferred my usual funds from here to MetaMask (approximately 230) and was charged almost $7 in transfer fees... which is kind of the standard for transactions on the Ethereum mainnet.
The question is, why do spot transactions have a small fee and withdrawals to another wallet have such a high fee?
Is there any way to avoid paying these absurd fees to transfer to another wallet?
