According to Kalshi's figures, the odds of the BTC/USD pair reaching USD 100,000 or more by December 31 are currently at 85%.

There is even a 9% chance that the pair will reach USD 150,000 at that time, along with an external bet of USD 250,000 or more.

In total, Kalshi's average forecast considers that the price of BTC will be USD 125,000 for the new year.

"It seems that prediction markets are starting to price in a potential breakout rally above USD 100,000," responded the trading resource The Kobeissi Letter on X, labeling the numbers as 'wild'.

Kobeissi noted that Bitcoin's market capitalization could hit USD 2.5 trillion by January 1.

Bitcoin ETFs are fighting against profit takers.

Bitcoin has already risen nearly 40% in November and 55% in the fourth quarter overall, making this year almost as profitable as the last quarter of 2023, according to data from CoinGlass.
