According to PANews, a South Korean man reportedly fell victim to a suspected fraud involving the purchase of USDT in Hong Kong. On October 25, the man used an intermediary to buy USDT worth 700,000 Hong Kong dollars. However, upon visiting the exchange shop, he did not receive the cryptocurrency, raising suspicions of a scam. Hong Kong police arrived at the scene to investigate and have classified the case as 'obtaining property by deception.' It is understood that the exchange shop claims to have already transferred the cryptocurrency through a third party.
