According to Odaily, Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas revealed on the X platform that the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) intends to extend the trading hours of its NYSE Arca stock exchange to 22 hours per day. As part of the Intercontinental Exchange, NYSE stated that the new extended trading hours for its all-electronic trading platform, NYSE Arca, will be from 1:30 AM to 11:30 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.

Kevin Tyrrell, Head of Markets at NYSE, commented, 'The move to extend U.S. stock trading hours to 22 hours a day, five days a week, underscores the strength of the U.S. capital markets and the growing global demand for our listed securities.' Additionally, NYSE plans to seek support from the U.S. Securities Information Processor for the expanded trading hours. These changes will be accompanied by updates to regulatory rules, and NYSE has announced that it will submit an updated framework to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
