🇭🇰 Since the launch of six Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs in April 2024, Hong Kong has attracted significant assets with 4,560 BTC ($444.6 million) and 16,280 ETH ($59.6 million).

Compared to the US, where the total market capitalization of crypto ETFs has reached $5.47 billion, Hong Kong is still quite modest at $351.24 million.

However, in terms of the ratio to the stock market, crypto ETFs in Hong Kong and the US are of similar size. In the US, crypto spot ETFs account for about 0.019% of the total capitalization of the NYSE and Nasdaq. Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, crypto spot ETFs account for 0.023% of the total capitalization of the Hang Seng Index of $1.52 trillion.

Mr. Ryan Miller, General Director of OSL, believes that capital flows and trading volume of ETFs in Hong Kong will continue to grow strongly next year, thanks to a clearer regulatory framework here.
