🇻🇳 The Politburo establishes the Central Steering Committee for the development of science and technology and digital transformation

General Secretary To Lam has just signed the issuance of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthrough development in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

According to the resolution, the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation is a decisive factor in the development of countries; it is a prerequisite condition, the best opportunity for our country to develop rich and strong, robust in the new era - the era of the nation's rise.

The Politburo sets the goal that by 2030, Vietnam will be among the top 3 countries leading Southeast Asia in artificial intelligence research and development, digital competitiveness, e-Government, and become a center for digital technology industry with at least 5 technology enterprises at an international level.

Vietnam will gradually master strategic technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, Big Data, Blockchain, semiconductors, 5G-6G, quantum technology, and nano,... At least 3 leading technology enterprises in the world will be attracted to set up headquarters, invest, research, and produce in Vietnam.

By 2045, Vietnam aims for the digital economy to account for at least 50% of GDP, becoming the center of the digital technology industry in the region and the world, ranking among the top 30 countries in innovation and digital transformation, with at least 10 digital technology enterprises at the level of advanced countries.
