Odaily Planet Daily News: A ruling by the New York State Supreme Court allows Greenidge Generation to continue to generate electricity and mine Bitcoin at its plant in Dresden, New York, and to reapply for the Clean Air Act Chapter V air permit that was rejected by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) in June 2022. Nevertheless, the court also confirmed DEC's authority to deny the permit under the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA). The court found that DEC's decision was arbitrary and capricious, but there was no evidence that DEC had improper policy making, which means that Greenidge's license will be reviewed. (Cointelegraph)
