Layer East Media will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and officially launch on November 10, 2024, during Thailand Blockchain Week, focusing on helping Western Web3 projects expand and develop business in the Asia-Pacific region. Each market in the Asia-Pacific region has unique cultural differences that will affect how organizations promote their products and services, educate potential users in the market, and ultimately enhance customer experience.
Layer East Media will help businesses overcome the common challenge of understanding the diverse business environments in the Asia-Pacific region. The alliance will also assist in sharing relevant news, thus initiating a better process to attract local users.
In this way, Layer East Media will become the preferred center and information hub for various stakeholders in the industry - including Web3 media, innovative Web3 brands, and even investors and policymakers - covering the diverse markets of the Asia-Pacific region.
"We are excited to launch this alliance composed of Asia's top Web3 media," said Ilan Hazan, co-founder of Decrypt. "This is a step towards redefining the role of media in the Web3 era. By uniting Asia's leading crypto media, Layer East Media stands at the forefront of a new media model - one based on collaboration, transparency, and innovative business models."
HashKey Capital Market Head Siya Yang also believes that the launch of Layer East Media is an important turning point for Web3 media.
"This moment marks the beginning of a powerful collaboration that brings together Asia's top blockchain media platforms, shaping influential narratives, enhancing the region's impact in the global Web3 space, and supporting innovative digital asset and decentralized technology projects from the West," said Siya Yang.
The three founding principles of this alliance include:
1. Increase transparency: Provide reliable and accurate reporting on the Web3 space.
2. Empower innovators and investors: Provide insights, research, and expertise to support informed decision-making.
3. Promote collaboration: Connect media and Web3 projects to drive innovation and enhance interaction with users who are most likely to benefit from their products and services.
These media outlets were selected after a long vetting process based on the quality of their news reporting, commitment to journalistic ethics, and their ability to provide accurate reporting from diverse perspectives in real-time.
Members of the Layer East Media board will enjoy exclusive content and interviews, industry insights, collaborative projects, joint events, and opportunities to expand readership and customer base in multiple Asian markets to embrace the rapidly growing digital asset community in the region.
Web3 companies will also benefit from direct media exposure, gaining widespread dissemination across global and local Web3 communities, opportunities to enter key Asian markets, and collaboration with alliance partners.
Like many of the Web3 projects it will cover, Layer East Media also has a formal roadmap. Starting in 2025, the alliance will participate in the largest crypto, Web3, and fintech events and collaborate with top venture capital firms and communities to expand its influence and reach.
