Caroline Ellison, former co-CEO of Alameda Research and ex-girlfriend of Sam Bankman-Fried, has started her two-year prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, after pleading guilty to multiple fraud charges.
Ellison played a key role in the FTX collapse, testifying that Bankman-Fried directed her actions. She expressed remorse during sentencing, apologizing for the impact on investors.
Other FTX executives, including former engineering director Nishad Singh and co-CEO Ryan Salame, have faced sentencing, with Singh receiving supervised release and Salame serving seven and a half years.
