LIDO DAO VOTES TO ACTIVATE COMMUNITY STAKING MODULE
Lido DAO members approved the activation of the community staking module (CSM), which aims to broaden accessibility to Ethereum solo staking.
This move represents a shift towards decentralization, allowing anyone with 1.5 ETH (about $3,800) to become a node operator in the permissionless staking protocol.
Lido’s CSM was launched during an ongoing debate about staking security, with the module targeting smaller validators to help maintain Ethereum’s censorship resistance.
