Polymarket, a decentralized prediction market platform, has raised concerns about the potential manipulation of decentralized prediction market accuracy. This comes after former US President Donald Trump's chances of winning the presidential election reached an all-time high of 60.2% on the platform. Previously, an anonymous whale (Fredi9999) was alleged to have influenced the widening gap between Trump and Harris by purchasing over $20 million worth of Trump victory bets. In this regard, a big player on Polymarket, nicknamed Domer, warned, "It's not surprising that someone with enough financial backing could manipulate the platform. This kind of thing will likely become more common as the stakes get higher. In the future, we can expect to see more cases of multi-accounting and fake address claims to manipulate outcomes."
