According to Cointelegraph, the September Bitcoin Miner Report shows that Hut 8 and Iris Energy continue to expand their operations, but with varying returns and production efficiencies.

Hut 8 plans to achieve a self-mining target of 20 EH/s by 2025, and Iris plans to reach 31 EH/s by the fourth quarter of 2024.

Bitfarms mined 217 BTC in September, down from 233 BTC in August. Despite this, Bitfarms achieved its annual efficiency target of 21 watts per TH ahead of schedule and increased its BTC holdings to 1,147 BTC.

Hut 8’s hashrate increased from 18.5 EH/s in August to 19.5 EH/s in September, but BTC production dropped from 87 BTC to 85 BTC.

Iris’ BTC production in September increased from 245 BTC in August to 347 BTC, and its computing power increased to 21 EH/s.

CleanSpark’s computing power increased by 187% in the past 12 months, from 9.6 EH/s in September 2023 to 27.6 EH/s in September 2024.
