In a response to Gabor Gurbacs, formerly of VanEck, on X, Argentine President Javier Milei reiterated his support for Bitcoin (BTC), and gave his blessing to be the new local currency. In the post, he also highlighted how cryptocurrency can be a tool to revitalize the national economy.
Milei announced that Argentina will allow multiple currencies to compete, and this includes Bitcoin. “There will be free currency competition. If you want to use Bitcoin, there will be no problems,” he wrote.
