MasterCard announced the launch of its new program, “Mastercard Crypto Credential,” which aims to facilitate and secure digital currency transfers using blockchain technology, by simplifying procedures and making them safer for users by converting long addresses of blockchain wallets into pseudonyms.
The new program allows users on several platforms, such as: “Bit2Me,” “Lirium,” and “$BTC Mercado Bitcoin” to send and receive cryptocurrencies using easy-to-remember pseudonyms, instead of relying on long and complex blockchain addresses.
