Xiaomi's much-anticipated electric car series, SU7 (Speed Ultra 7), SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max, has revealed new details following recent leaks.

The SU7 series, set for production in December, boasts a sleek design with a wind deflector integrated into the body, promising a sporty electric sedan set to make waves in 2024.

Xiaomi has invested significantly in an intelligent car factory for SU7 production, with trial manufacturing reportedly underway at BAIC's Beijing facility.

Initial sales are rumored to be limited to the Chinese market, with deliveries expected to commence in February 2024.

The base SU7 model, with a starting price of $20,000, features a single motor delivering 220 kW (295 horsepower) and utilizes a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery supplied by BYD.

The higher-end SU7 Pro and SU7 Max models offer dual motors with power outputs of 220 kW (295 horsepower) and 275 kW (386 horsepower) respectively, using efficient Ternary lithium batteries from CATL.

Weighing in at 1,980 kg for SU7 and 2,205 kg for SU7 Pro and SU7 Max, the cars will incorporate an optional LiDAR system for advanced autonomous driving, building on Xiaomi's extensive testing in this field.

The central entertainment system will feature Xiaomi's HyperOS operating system, first introduced with the Xiaomi 13 series.

Designed with input from professionals who contributed to vehicles like BMW iX and Mercedes-Benz EQXX, the SU7 series is equipped with Brembo brakes and rides on Michelin PSEV tires.

Xiaomi's CEO, Lei Jun, emphasized the company's unique advantages in car manufacturing, including expertise in hardware-based internet services and comprehensive experience in software and hardware integration.
