Everyone has heard the story about the pizza bought with bitcoins. But here is my personal story about how I could have become a millionaire in 2024 and why it didn't happen...
In 2015, I put my BMW 730 up for sale. One fine day, I received an enticing offer: swap the car for 50+ #BTC and three mining rigs with graphics cards. Back then, I thought: "Cryptocurrency? Is that a new kind of pizza?" And, as a true adventurer, I dove into studying this mysterious topic.
There wasn't much information, and I felt like I was searching for a needle in a haystack. Where and to whom should I sell all this? Exchanges seemed as reliable as a lottery with the chance of winning an elephant. But the offer was too good to ignore!
While I was studying the world of crypto, a man came and bought my car for cash. Yes, just like in a bad movie: "While you study, others are already acting!"
Why didn't I become a millionaire? If I had made that deal, I would have sold everything at the very first opportunity and locked in the profit. So discussing pizzas and crypto purchases from ten years ago is like discussing how I could have become a superhero if only I hadn't lost my cape. 99% of people would have already locked in their profits, bought Lamborghinis, yachts, or houses by the sea. Or perhaps they would just have wasted time speculating with futures and shouting that BTC is nonsense, as if it wasn't their problem.
My New Year's wish: lock in profits and spend on something tangible! And remember, sometimes it's better to be in the game than just watching it from the sidelines!
