The shepherd was deceived
Once upon a time, there was a shepherd who led a goat and rode a donkey into the city to go to the market. Three swindlers knew about this and wanted to deceive him. The first swindler took advantage of the shepherd dozing off on the donkey's back, untied the bell on the goat's neck and tied it to the donkey's tail, and took the goat away. The shepherd turned around and found that the goat was gone, so he was busy looking for it. At this time, the second swindler came over and asked him enthusiastically what he was looking for. The shepherd said that the goat was stolen and asked him if he had seen it. The swindler pointed casually and said that he saw a man walking through the woods with a goat. It must be that man, so he should chase him. The shepherd was in a hurry to chase the goat and handed the donkey to the "kind-hearted man" to take care of it. When he came back empty-handed, the donkey and the "kind-hearted man" were naturally gone. The shepherd was very sad and cried as he walked. When he came to a pool, he found a man sitting by the pool, crying even more sadly than him. The shepherd was very surprised. Is there anyone more unlucky than me? So he asked the man why he was crying? The man told the shepherd: He took two bags of gold coins to the city to buy things. He stopped by the water to rest and wash his face, but accidentally dropped the bag into the water. The shepherd said, then go down and get it. The man said he couldn't swim, and if the shepherd could get it out for him, he would give him 20 gold coins. The shepherd was overjoyed when he heard it. He thought that this was a good time. Although the sheep and donkey were lost, he might get 20 gold coins here. He would have enough to make up for all the losses. He quickly took off his clothes and jumped into the water to get it out. When he climbed out of the water naked and empty-handed, his clothes and dry food were gone, and the only remaining money was still in the corner of his pocket.
