Greed and fear are basic animal instincts, and humans are fundamentally animals, so in reality, when instincts are expressed, they are the same in all species.

Let me start with a real story. If you live in the Northern Delta, you will probably be familiar with the clam. It is similar to a crab but has both greedy and timid characteristics, so there is a saying: Timid like a clam. Clams are delicious and refreshing to cook in soup, so when I was a child, I often went fishing for my family to cook in soup or if there were a lot, I would sell them for money. In general, the income was very stable.

Usually, this kind of fishing is only for women and girls. I am a boy but I am still interested in this job because it basically helps me earn a very good amount of money (a few tens of thousands/day, quite a lot compared to the countryside at that time). Each person has a different way of fishing, some people go to catch green worms to make bait that is both tough and soft, others find a very long rod so that the crabs cannot see from afar, others find a thin white fishing line to tie the bait so that the crabs cannot see the line and get fooled. There are many different ways to fish, but the focus is to make the crabs less alert and easier to catch. Personally, I can say that I was a bitter crab fisherman back then, no one in the whole area could eat it, the women who saw me took off their hats and ran away.

I don't use a long fishing rod, I don't need good bait, I don't need white fishing line, I don't need to go very light, the only thing I use is psychology. What I use is the skillful application of fear and greed.

If you drop the bait too close to the crab, it will be scared and run away even though it is definitely bait. If you drop it too far, it will stand watching in fear, cautious and less greedy. You drop the bait just enough, it will have a high level of interest. By moving the bait further and further away, the crab initially loses its vigilance when it sees the bait far enough away to not be dangerous, then it is afraid that the bait will run away when it sees it moving slowly further and further away, it rushes after and grabs the bait, that is when it has lost.

The same goes for coins, when the price is too cheap, not many people dare to buy, they are afraid like a bait hitting their face, they will be suspicious.

For the price is too high, like bait thrown far away, they are not interested.

When the price starts to increase significantly, they are afraid of missing the boat, they rush to follow and get caught in the bull trap. (At this time, it is like a crab afraid of its prey running away).

Have you ever seen yourself like a clam? This is very common in inexperienced people. Of course, to reach the peak of clam fishing, I have a lot of other experiences, I never pay attention to details, I find smart methods. The same goes for coins, I will try to convey smart trading methods, instead of trying to follow small things, it makes you confused. Like in martial arts movies, practicing martial arts but only focusing on moves will never reach the peak.
