Author's opinion on #BTC

If you ask yourself whether Bitcoin has a future for at least one more cycle, you need to think hard about its main goal - human independence from the fiat currency system, anonymity, ease of use, saving money from currency depreciation.

I am not a Bitcoin maximalist.

I agree that it was "sort of" the first, although we all know about Ripple Pay. The increase in mining complexity and electricity costs is growing at a tremendous pace. Is it digital gold? I don't think so and I will try to explain to you why.

The blockchain itself is ancient.

Network fees are sometimes scary, as is the time it takes to complete a transaction. I did not see any special use for it. What about ETF!? You will object to me, but do you even understand what an ETF or ETP is? In simple words - the company HRYU gives you a piece of paper that you own 1 bitcoin in it, you give "live" money and get a wrapper, instead of buying it yourself. Guarantees - well, this is a crypto market, who will give them to you. As the launch of CBDC approaches, Bitcoin in principle becomes unnecessary, it has fulfilled its mission - it has enriched the creators, and some holders and speculators, built a market around itself, attracted millions of people to the idea itself.
