#BecomeCreator Hacker wins R$2 million in Bitcoin after solving a puzzle and loses everything in seconds, understand.

$BTC Bitcoin

đŸ›Ąïž Bitcoin security remains unshakable.

A hacker, who spent two years to solve a complex puzzle and unlock 6.6 bitcoins (about R$2 million), was surprisingly hacked shortly after solving the challenge.

The puzzle involved a private key with 66 unknown bits, which despite requiring an absurd amount of resources and time to solve, ended up being used by another, smarter hacker — or by an automated bot — who stole the bitcoins before the real solver could withdraw them.

🧐 The original hacker made a mistake by revealing his public key when trying to withdraw the 6.6 BTC. This made it easier for others, who sent transactions with higher fees, ensuring that they were processed first.

To many, this may seem unfair, and some argue that the “thief” should at least share part of the prize with the original solver. However, the world of hacking follows its own rules, where the fastest or the most cunning usually prevails.

#Howdoes the riddle work?

This series of riddles involving Bitcoin private keys began in 2015, when the 6.6 BTC were worth only about R$10,000. With the rise in the price of the cryptocurrency, these competitions have become even more attractive.
