In 2023, the total value locked (TVL) on DeFi was valued at around $56B all year, and in 2024 the TVL on DeFi has increased to more than $160B, with the current TVL locked in August around $132B. This means the crypto space has come back to life again. Additionally, OurNetwork research mentions that the Bitcoin layer 2 might boost the next life of the crypto world, especially in the TVL ecosystem.
