As a Community Manager you play a vital role in building and nurturing a project community you work with. You are responsible for creating engagement, building relationships, and driving growth within the community. In order to be successful in this role, there are several key qualities you need to possess as a CM.

The ability to communicate effectively and efficiently is critical for as a Community Manager. You must be able to articulate ideas clearly, provide timely responses, and listen to feedback from the community. Effective communication helps the growth of the community and also help community members to feel important.

Building a community takes time and effort. A Community Manager must be patient, persistent, and willing to put in the work to cultivate relationships and build trust in the community.
You must be able to handle difficult situations calmly, even in the face of project FUDs. Some Community members can be unbearable and you need patience to deal with this.

A Community Manager must be able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. You must be able to keep track of community metrics, plan and execute events, and manage multiple social media channels simultaneously. This is where Trello comes in to play as a management tool.

The ability to come up with new and innovative ideas is important for as a Community Manager. Creating engaging content, develop exciting events, and generating new initiatives that keep the community engaged and excited is an ability you must possess.
