The attack overwhelmed network infrastructure with large volumes of data, some exceeding two billion packets per second. Many compromised devices, including #ASUS routers and #MikroTik systems, were involved, with significant infection in Russia, Vietnam, the U.S., Brazil, and Spain. The attackers mainly used the UDP protocol to execute the attacks. Previously, Microsoft held the record with a 3.47 Tbps DDoS attack on its Azure network.

Additionally, Akamai highlighted that #vulnerabilities in Linux CUPS servers could become a potential vector for future DDoS attacks, with over 58,000 systems currently exposed.
