🇭🇰Unlike the US, Hong Kong May Allow Deposits for Spot Ethereum ETFs
In contrast to the US, Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission is considering allowing bets on spot Ethereum ETFs, Bloomberg reported.

The SFC is in talks with crypto ETF companies about offering staking services through licensed platforms, potentially allowing investors to earn passive income from staking ether .The Asia's first spot bitcoin and ether ETF, led by China Asset Management ( ChinaAMC ), 

Harvest Global and Bosera/HashKey management, launched on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on April 30. In the US, it was a very different story, as issuers rushed to remove staking features bets off their spot Ethereum applications in recent days as it appears to have become an important factor for the SEC in approving a potential Ethereum spot ETF.

Now that Ethereum ETF 19b-4 forms have been approved, issuers must wait for their S-1 form to be approved before asset trading can begin. VanEck's Ethereum ETF appears on DTCC 

Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) - one of America's preeminent financial infrastructure gatekeepers - has officially listed VanEck's "ETHV" ticker on its website registry. A checkpoint is seen as an important milestone before any ETF can actually launch.
It is worth noting that VanEck's ETHV is currently listed as “inactive” on DTCC's books at the present time.
But the fact that VanEck has managed to secure this DTCC listing, following in the footsteps of Franklin Templeton's ETH fund last month, is clearly being interpreted as a major bullish sign.
Multiple reports suggest SEC officials have been burning up phone lines in recent weeks to quickly update existing spot Ether ETF applications. That type of hectic regulatory work, combined with VanEck and Franklin securing these DTCC prerequisites, has fueled speculation of an imminent green light.

Joseph Edwards, head of research at Enigma Securities, said the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has required exchanges to list Ethereum (ETH) spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs). in the US to update their records.
“Opposing an ETH ETF after BTC's approval always seemed like an odd case for the SEC to try to push forward, unless they were willing to open up questions about the status of Ethereum's securities more broadly and it's likely the call came somewhere to stay out of that fight," Edwards added.

zkSync, the Ethereum Layer 2 network developed by Matter Labs, is planning a token generation event (TGE) this week with a total token supply of 21 billion tokens, according to two sources .
The zkSync token airdrop is then expected to take place around June 13. According to screenshots of internal messages seen by The Block, Matter Labs notes that it will take place before the token airdrop of Blast on June 26. Sources say the official launch of the token, including airdrop, will take place within 30 days of TGE, with a total supply of 21 billion tokens. According to one of the sources, zkSync wanted to use the ZK code for its token but ran into problems as Polyhedra Network claimed it. They noted that zkSync could still go with the ZK code and also emphasized that Binance Polyhedra's token has not yet been listed. Last week, zkSync hinted at a token launch and airdrop in late June, saying it would soon roll out an upgrade to speed up its protocol decentralization. Broadcaster A Matter Labs spokesperson told The Block: “zkSync is currently in the process of decentralization. At this time, no definitive plans have been finalized.”

PEPE, FLOKI Continue pumping
Expectedly, ETH is the biggest winner from the positive Ethereum ETF news as it skyrocketed over 20% in a matter of hours. Similar to BTC, Ether also charted a multi-week high of over $3,800. Despite a slight decline since that high, ETH remains in the green on a daily scale, trading near $3,800.
DOGE and SHIB were the other larger-cap stocks, each up 3%. In contrast, TON, ADA, BCH and NEAR fell by 3-5%.
The most significant profit in the past day came from two meme coins. FLOKI jumped 13%, while PEPE exploded 26% and charted a new all-time high today.
