Considering that we’ve donated a total of $23 million since our establishment in 2018, this makes last year the most impactful one in Binance Charity history yet in terms of distributed resources.423,358 Ukrainian refugeesThroughout 2022, we worked closely with partners like UNICEF and USA for UNHCR to provide aid to conflict-ridden Ukraine. Thanks to Binance Charity’s initiatives, 423,358 refugees received housing, nutrition, clean water, healthcare items, monetary aid, and emotional help. Notably, this marked the first time when the UNHCR accepted a stablecoin donation.Binance Charity established an Emergency Relief Fund to offer immediate aid and sanctuary to refugees from areas affected by the conflict. This initiative included a $10 million contribution from Binance, making it one of the largest donations made by a private company to Ukraine. We also launched the Binance Refugee Crypto Card for Ukranians to enable those affected by the conflict to receive and spend donated cryptocurrencies in over 60 million online and physical stores. This alone aided 15,000 Ukrainian refugees in Europe, mostly women and children.293,217 hours of Web3 educationIn this digital age, we believe that digital financial literacy is not just an attractive skill that job seekers need – it’s also essential for nurturing our tech leaders of tomorrow. Fortunately, we’re in a position where we can provide both funding and educational resources for learners. To help underprivileged and underrepresented people access these vital skills, we provided scholarships to a total of 71,205 people. We also contributed over $3.5 million to increase access to Web3 education globally.
