From December 30, 2024, to January 05, 2025, the NFT market raised a trading sales volume of $130 million, down 4.41% from the last week of December.
Ethereum, the blockchain network powering the famous Ethereum crypto and renowned in the NFT market for hosting most blue-chip NFT collections, was the dominant NFT network in the first week of January 2025. From December 30 to January 05, Ethereum-based NFT collections raised a trading sales volume of $63 million, up 9.78% from the previous week.
Bitcoin, the blockchain network popularly known in the NFT market due to its Ordinals, Runes, and BRC-20 NFT collections, was the second most-traded NFT blockchain network in the NFT ecosystem in the first week of January 2025. From December 30 to January 05, 2025, the Bitcoin-based NFT collections recorded a sales volume of $28 million. During this time, Bitcoin NFT sales volume dropped by 6.13% from the past week.
Solana, an open-source blockchain network that supports smart contracts, including non-fungible tokens and various decentralized applications, has been the third most-traded NFT blockchain network in the NFT ecosystem in the first week of Jan 2025.
