You lose money, big money, during a bull market, not in a bear market. In a bear market, you naturally have a sense of awe, while in a bull market, it’s easy to let your guard down and amplify both psychological and financial leverage.
For me, having entered this market in 2015, 90% of my earnings come from bear markets, not bull markets. Bull markets are like a feast for everyone, lacking value, and are a zero-sum game for fools.
Bear markets test professionalism and contrarian thinking; I prefer bear markets over bull markets. If I can make 10% on a 30-point rise, why would I want to use 300 points to earn the same 10%? Therefore, if you want to make money in a bull market, you should match risk and reward by using large positions and mainstream leverage to maximize profits, rather than just waiting for a one-sided market.
