Will AI agents replicate the trend of inscriptions?
My view is that AI agents will replicate the trend of inscriptions for the following reasons:
First, let’s review the trend of inscriptions. It started with the BRC20 protocol, followed by various protocols like ARC20, SRC20, and so on. Communities under each inscription were fiercely competing for the top spots, creating a lively and tumultuous atmosphere. This situation also gave rise to coins like ordi, sats, and rats that saw thousands and even tens of thousands of times in value. Initially, only the Bitcoin and Ethereum chains were dealing with inscriptions, but driven by this wealth creation effect, other chains began to follow suit, with BSC, Avalanche, Polygon, Solana, Celestia, and others gradually launching inscriptions. Although the popularity of inscriptions on these chains did not last long, the performance of the first inscription launched on each chain was quite good.
The situation with AI agents is similar; the main battleground is currently on the Solana and Base chains, where multiple agent frameworks such as ELIZA, Virtual, zerobro, and ARC have emerged.
The initial hype centered around AI interactive dialogue (AI Agent), leading to the emergence of meme-based coins like Goat, act, and fartcoin. Different categories of AI agents are also competing for the top spots. Moreover, the trend of other chains launching AI agents is becoming increasingly evident.
Therefore, from the current situation, the trend of AI agents is almost entirely consistent with the early trend of inscriptions, and there is also a trend for other chains to launch AI agents. It can be anticipated that the craze for AI agents is still in its early stages; referencing the development of inscriptions, more chains will likely begin to launch AI agents soon.
