The year 2024 brought the revival of DeFi
Since the beginning of the year, the total TVL of the DeFi sector has more than doubled and reached a peak of $212 billion on December 16.
According to TokenTerminal, net deposits in the DeFi protocols Aave and Lido exceeded $70 billion for the first time in December.
This is almost half of the $148 billion allocated to the 20 largest DeFi applications.
The trading volume of DEX also reached new records. According to DefiLlama, this figure was nearly $380 billion in November.
