Linea, an Ethereum layer 2 network developed by ConsenSys, continues to move towards decentralization and announced the establishment of the Linea Association at the Devcon conference in Bangkok, Thailand on November 13. The newly established association will have three main goals: supporting Linear technology, developing the Linea market, and further promoting the decentralization roadmap of Linea.
One of the core features of the Linea Association's operation is token holder governance, which means that Linea tokens will be issued in the first quarter of 2025. According to the plan, the Linea Association will be able to provide governance rights to token holders, allowing them to participate in certain activities of the association. The association will be responsible for managing the core Linea intellectual property and fund pool to support its mission.
