#Bitcoin❗ was featured in national news today in Belgium.
The financial expert (journalist) summed it up in three points: "I wouldn’t call it an investment. It’s not a currency. You can only use it in two countries."
I'm so tired of this misinformation. Bitcoin is literally a legal payment method across the West and much of the world. There’s a big difference between being a country’s national currency (which the journalist refers to) and being a legal form of payment.
Here’s the map showing all places where $BTC can be legally used:
🟧 Legal currency (officially recognized as a means of exchange)
🟩 Permissive (Bitcoin use is legal, with few or no restrictions)
🟨 Restricted (some legal restrictions on Bitcoin use)
🟪 Contentious (unclear interpretations of outdated laws)
🟥 Prohibited (complete or partial ban on Bitcoin use)
⬜ No data (no available info)
