The, lady pictured with Alibaba founder Jack Ma is Tong Wenhong. When Tong joined as a receptionist 16 years ago, Jack offered him a 0.2% stake in his company that would be worth the equivalent of 100 million when Alibaba became a public company in the future. So Jack asked (him) to stay with Alibaba instead of changing companies.

Despite Tong's years of waiting, Alibaba did not become a public( company). He then asked Jack about it in 2004 and Jack replied "soon". He asked again in 2006 and Jack gave the same (answer) "soon". Anyway! Tong never saw it coming and assumed he would- never get his 100 million.

Then, in September 2014, when Alibaba finally became a public (company) on The New York Stock Exchange, it was valued at about 245.7 billion.

Tong was then a "senior receptionist at Forma (currently Vice President of Alibaba) and' immediately his 0.2% stake was worth 320 million equivalents.

Now the -question is: Can you stay in a company for 14 years? Knowing that the founder is working (tirelessly) to get the company on a platform? Is your complaint still valid? You have to be patient to be successful, never be (impatient) for quick profit..
