The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced the launch of Project Ensemble in March, which is currently being participated in by at least three countries. The main goal of this project is to explore the possibilities that digital currencies can bring to these countries’ economies and financial systems.

This project will also look into how digital currencies can be used in cross-border payments and remittances, as well as how they can improve financial inclusion for the unbanked population in these countries. The HKMA is looking to expand the project to include more countries in the future, as they believe that collaboration and information sharing are key to the success of digital currencies in the global economy.
