Bitcoin Rally Leads Metaplanet to Stock Up, Taking Holdings to $56 Million
Japanese investment firm Metaplanet continues to add to its Bitcoin holdings by purchasing 106.97 BTC ($6.9 million) amid Bitcoinâs rally.
The hotel operator-turned-investment firm announced in an Oct. 15 announcement that it has purchased an additional „1 billion or equivalent to $6.9 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC). Metaplanetâs latest BTC purchase brings its total crypto holdings to 855.48 BTC or $56 million.
On the day of the purchase, Bitcoin surged 2.06% to cross the $65,000 threshold. This is the first time Bitcoin has reached this level since Sept. 30, rising more than 10% from its low this month and 32% from its August low, signaling that it has entered a bull market.
