This initiative, featured on the Snapshot governance page, seeks to close four specific workgroups, which currently cost the DAO around $3 million annually. Among the groups targeted are the Governance Workgroup, which oversees the governance guidelines and charter (AIP-239), the Marketing and Communications Workgroup (AIP-246), responsible for promoting the DAO, the Metaverse Workgroup (AIP-245), tasked with metaverse projects, and the Web3 Development Workgroup (AIP-376), which manages Web3 initiatives.
The voting process, which ends on October 17, has so far seen strong support, with 98.19% of voters in favor of the proposal. If approved, this move will allow ApeCoin DAO to focus its resources on more critical areas and cut unnecessary expenditures.
