Paraguay's National Electricity Administration (ANDE) dismantled an illegal Bitcoin mining operation, discovering irregular electrical connections that fed a mining farm inside an evangelical church. The intervention took place in the municipality of Hernandarias, Alto Paraná department.

ANDE detailed that the illegal connection corresponded to a derivation of the meter, hidden within the masonry of the prayer center. “It is a three-phase meter that supplied a business and low-voltage crypto mining activities, located within the premises of a prayer center or church.
